A small Dorset team of plasterers built around one promise. We turn up on the Monday we said, and we leave the boards ready for the next trade on the Friday we promised. The plasterers Dorset builders ring back.
What we are
Pearl Plastering is a registered Dorset Ltd company. We work as a plastering subcontractor for small and medium builders running whole-house renovations across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, the New Forest and wider Dorset. We also take on domestic jobs where the homeowner wants a finish their decorator can roll straight onto.
We cover the full plastering scope a renovation needs: skimming, full replasters, ceilings, dot and dab, metal stud partitions, sand and cement render, monocouche, silicone render, artex removal, pebble dash removal, plaster repairs. Same standard on every job, whether it's one room or a six-month programme.
We're not the cheapest plasterers in Bournemouth. We are thorough. That difference is why builders ring us back.
What we won’t do
The Dorset trade has a reputation for cowboys: no-shows, no-finishes, no snag list, no call back. We exist because builders and homeowners have been burned by them. Here’s what we refuse to do.
No phantom Mondays
We tell you the start date when we quote, and we turn up on it. If something genuinely changes (weather on external work, the trade before us running over), you hear it from us first. Not silence.
No hollows. No fat edges
A wall that looks flat from across the room but catches the raking light when the lamp goes on is a failed wall. We don’t leave them. The decorator should be able to skip the second prep coat.
No mess we wouldn’t want in our own house
Floors masked. Doorways sealed. Site swept at the end of each day, not just at the end of the job. Plaster dust does not need to live in the rest of your house.
No six-weeks-later snag calls
We finish properly the first time. If something does need attention later (it sometimes does on bigger jobs), we come back. We don’t go missing.
The right kit, used properly
Good plastering isn’t about the bag. A British Gypsum bag doesn’t guarantee a flat wall, and the wrong bag plus tired tools guarantees a bad one. What matters is the people mixing it and the kit they reach for. We invest in both.
